Sprout Garden 3 Tray Family Sprouting Kit - Includes: Sprouter, Drainboard, Covers, 3 Sprouting Trays, 2 Oz of Certified Organic Alfalfa Seed, Instructions. Grow Healthy Fresh Sprouts in Your Own Kitchen!

Fast and easy
This one is so much easier and faster than the mason jar type. Just hope it works as well in hot weather.

Sprout This & Sprout That
Simple, yet it requires daily attention and it produces sprouts. I like it and recommend it. Go ahead and order this one.

Super easy sprouts
This little sprouter worked just as described. The first batch, using just one tray, barely fit into a quart bag. That was using 2.5 tablespoons of seeds. Really like the cover, because it helps keep them in the dark and control when they get light.

DeBuyer Mineral B Element Grill Iron Frypan, 4.7-Inch Round

Just a great little pan
This is a great little pan. Once you get it seasoned it is really great for one egg. Makes a perfectly round egg.

The DeBuyer Mineral line is incredible
Forget cast iron. These DeBuyer Mineral pans are better without the fussiness of caring for cast iron. And yes, they are nonstick from the beginning, after the initial seasoning. I use this small frypan to cook one or two eggs, and they slide right out. The seasoning process before you use it the first time is simple and straight-forward; DeBuyer's YouTube video is crystal clear. I have added a larger DeBuyer that I use exclusively for pancakes. Again, it couldn't be better.

If you enjoy cooking well, you will love these DeBuyer Mineral pans.

Perfect for an egg breakfast sandwich
I bought this since I am trying to get away from using Teflon coated pans. One thing to realize - this pan is small. Make sure you understand just how small 4.7 inches is. It fits one egg perfectly. and is great for making breakfast sandwiches. I have cooked 2 eggs in it, but it was a little tight. I follow the instructions included for seasoning - it was easy.

Calphalon Contemporary Nonstick 4.5 Qt. Sauce Pan with Steamer Insert

Nice saucepot/steamer, if a bit hefty
I bought it replacing a cheap old stainless saucepan/steamer whose handle fell off (after 12 years ;)

This calphalon pot is actually a very nice size - the steamer is actually wide enough to handle asparagus spears with just the very tips broken off. The nonstick surface seems very durable.

However, it is pretty heavy, if that's important to you.

Great steamer
Pots with steamer inserts are not that common anymore. I like that this pot has a wider, shallower configuration than my previous steamer so the veggies cook more evenly. The glass lid means I don't have to keep taking the lid off, losing all the steam, to see when the food is done.

Love it.
It's big enough to boil a dozen eggs, and the steamer works great. The lid also fits my 10" Omlette pan. It cleans up great as well.

Garcima 26-Inch Carbon Steel Paella Pan, 65cm

Beautiful Pan
There is nothing like the spectacle of cooking a large paella on an outdoor grill for 20 people! Everyone was wowed by this beautiful paella pan. And the paella cooked evenly! Wish I had taken a picture of it.

Manufactured in Valencia!
The paella pan met and exceeded our expectations. We lived in Valencia for nine years and spent many weekends with neighbors preparing paellas in the country. Imagine our excitement when the paella arrived and we found out it was made in a Valencian town we recognized. Time to invite the neighbors over!

Worked perfectly
My first try at Paella was a resounding success. Cooking it over an open fire (that was the tricky part-had to rig up something but it worked) made it a fantastic afternoon with family and friends.

Update International ES-AL Aluminum Egg Slicer

Do not put in the dishwasher
I used this egg slicer once, then tried to wash it in the dishwasher. When I took it out it seemed to be heavily oxidized. It had a black tint which would come off on my hands. I ended up throwing it away.

Everything you need
This product is great for eggs or strawberries..It saves a lot of time and makes slicing more even and consistant

KitchenAid Gourmet Distinctions Stainless Steel 10-Piece Cookware Set

Really GREAT set! Not non-stick? No problem
Really beautiful on the stove. The shining, sloping sides add a very elegant and sophisticated air. Extremely quick and even heating. Handles stay cool. Just all around a great cookset! We almost didnt get it for 2 concerns: we were concerned the handles would get too hot (they stay cool!) and difficult cleaning ..we were looking for non-stick (these still clean quick and easy with a swipe of a brillo pad). We've since realized that non-stick would wear out in 5-7 years but without it...these should last almost forever! Great purchase.

Leaking rivets? No problem at all!
I almost did not buy this cookware set because of the reviews that mentioned leaking rivets. But here's the real deal.

The rivets that attach the handles to the pans are located high on the sides of the pans. If you fill a pot clear up to the rivets, you'll have lots of splashes and spatters as you cook and stir. The easy solution? Use a bigger pot! No spatters, and no leaks.

Out of curiosity, when I was washing mine prior to use I did fill them up over the rivets, and no leaks on my set.

So, a little more on the set in general. I purchased this as a replacement for my 35 year old Revereware, which was wobbly on my new glass induction stove. Also wanted to get rid of the nonstick stuff for health reasons. This is perfect, very stable, great heat conduction, glass lids fit well and make it easy to monitor cooking. A joy to use, and on top of that they look gorgeous.

My suggestion is to notice the cooking hints in these reviews, and...

Terrible customer service tarnishes decent product
This cookware set is visually appealing, though it discolors with even low heat from a gas stove. Successive uses, though, tend to remove the discoloration. It distributes heat nicely around the base and allows boiling liquids inside to circulate well from top to bottom.

This said, my experience with Meyer's customer service (Meyer Corp. out of Vallejo, CA produces and provides support for KitchenAid-brand cookware) has been far from stellar. Three items in the purchased set contained bubbles in the copper/steel base visible from the bottom.

I contacted Meyer to return the defective items and was put through quite a bit of hassle. The representative first gave a stock answer without reading my message. Then I had to quote KitchenAid's "Hassle-Free Replacement Warranty" to get Meyer to pay for shipping the defective product as it is within the first year of ownership. When the replacements finally arrived about five weeks later, one item was dented. I have...

Concord 100 Quart Stainless Steel Stock Pot Cookware

Great for homebrewing
I use this for homebrewing. I yield 20gal batches of all grain with this stock pot. The pot is well made and the handles are riveted very securely. I was worried that the steel wouldn't be thick enough but after my first batch, I realized that it was just fine.

If you are using this for homebrewing, here are some things to keep in mind:

Put a ballvalve on it. You are never going to move this pot once it has over 10gal of liquid in it. It will be stationary from the minute you fill it until you drain it.

Use a counterflow chiller. You are never going to chill 20gal with an immersion chiller.

Use a burner that will be stable with this much weight on it. Many burners can sway or buckle under this much weight.

Use a burner that can generate enough energy to bring 20+ gallons to a rolling boil. Your basic turkey fryer burner might not be powerful enough. I use the Bayou Classic.

Keep an eye on your propane tank...

A professional company that cares about its customers!
After only eight months of use this pot developed a pinhole along the seam. Although the pot was out of warranty, the company, upon learning of the problem, made an immediate free replacement. This is the kind of customer service that goes above and beyond expectations.

It's a big pot. It is stainless. The walls are 18 gauge.
The pot is big. In hindsight, 18 gauge may be a bit thin for holding this much liquid, but I would just not attempt to move the pot when full, however I don't think I could if I tried. Its stainless, tested by solder adhering to it. It would have been nice to know how tall it would be before buying, but I could not find the dimensions. For the record, it is ~22" tall with lid and ~20" without. Is diameter is about 20".

Your hole bit will cut through this if you want to add valves.

Corelle Coordinates 6-Piece Country Cottage Microwave Cookware Set

Very Useful
I love these microwave containers. I use the smallest one regularly to take food for lunch away from home. I just turn the disk in the top to open the little vent and then heat my food in the microwave. The lid stays on securely. Features I particularly like about these containers are that they nest with their lids sitting beneath them, they are compact with fairly thin walls so they don't take up excess space in the cupboard at home or in my lunch bag, and most delightfully the inside is slick. Nothing sticks to it. Even when I have had melted cheese clean up is a breeze. I liked this set so much I ordered two more. I highly recommend this product.

Update 9/22/12: I'm still using these just about every day and still love them. I have scratched the bottoms with forks/knives so they are not as slick as they were when new but I still find them ideal for cooking and reheating in the microwave, storing leftovers in the refrigerator and taking food to work for lunch.

Great space saver and wonderful dishes
Corelle 6 piece set is space saving , has good lids and are just the right side for leftovers and cooking items in microwave. Freezer and dishwasher safe.

disappointed with this product
seing the brand corelle i bought this product but was very disapointed with this... not only it is very small the lid broke with very fist use..would never recommend this to anyone.simply waste of money.

Mauviel M'Cook 5210.17 1.9 Quart Saucepan with Lid, Cast Stainless Steel Handle

Fabulous induction ready pan.
Mauviel pots and pans are superb for use with induction cooktops. The pans are heavy, cook very evenly, and make perfect use of induction's instant heat. I was surprised to find out that my very expensive Swiss cookware did not have enough iron to work on an induction burner. The Mauviel pans work perfectly. Because the pans are not nonstick coated, clean up is more difficult but to me avoiding nonstick products is worth the extra clean up time.

And here is a plug for another wonderful product: the Viking induction hotplate. It is beautiful and functions perfectly. Liquids boil almost immediately; stir fry and sautes are equally quick.

Induction cookers are for people who want to cook real food quickly and with energy efficiency (keeping the kitchen cool); microwaves are for people who want to heat up some food-like concoctions in toxic packaging.

TrueLove
I really love this pot! It is difficult to find this quality without a rather intense search. This baby has just the right weight and is beautiful to boot. I use it every day to brew my pitcher of iced tea with good tea leaves: heat the water to almost boiling, dump in the tea leaves, remove from heat, cover with the lovely lid, wait 5 minutes and then strain! Dilute to taste.

quite good, but not superb
The product is overall fine but, being Mauviel quite a reputed brand, it's not understandable how the lid is just a "generic" one which doesn't properly fit on the saucepan.

If you want it without lid, it's OK, though.

Bialetti 8-Piece Aeternum Ceramic Non-Stick Cookware Set, Red

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED, DON'T BUY IT!
I'm italian living in the USA and I bought the Bialetti Brand because is very well knowed in Italy as a good brand. But these items started to chip out pieces and being scretced since the first 2 days. All of them, evne if some of the pans I probably used only 2 or 3 times they alraedy look old and you can see the metal. Unfortunately when I received them I threw away ALL my old pans and now I'm stuck with this horrible chipped ones that I just bought 4 months ago!!! i oly used soft sponges and organic mineral based soaps. They are also starting to get "brownish"in the middle hwere the heat is stronger. I'm EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!!! Just don't buy it.

Scratches
I bought the 3 skillets from BB&B. Not Cheap. The inside of the skillets is starting to turn black where it is like there were scratches. I never use anything but plastic or wood when I am cooking with these skillets. The red exterior is pealing on the bottom. I now wish I never bought them. They do not wash up easy anymore and I only had them for a little over a month.

well worth the money!
I bought this set as a result of receiving a larger pan with a cover for my birthday. i loved cooking in this non-stick pan so much that I researched getting a whole set to replace my mis-matched pots and pans. I am so pleased with these pots and pans. I cook every night and have loved these pans from the moment i started using them. Yes the ceraminc coating chips a little where they touch each other when you stack them in the cabinet but it doesn't effect how they cook food. They clean up very easily- so easy it seems too good to be true- and cook food evenly and perfectly. I absolutely recommend getting these pans! well worth the money we spent on them!!!!
I also recommend the all-in-one 7 use tool that comes up with these as a separate item to order, it's been a perfect
match for cooking with these pots and pans so as to not harm their finish.

Update International SPSA-12 SuperSteel 18/8 Stainless Steel Induction Ready Steel Pasta Cooker with Cover and Strainer, 12-Quart, Natural

Good size, induction-ready, space between pasta insert and pot
>>Good size (12 qts is probably the biggest most people will need for pasta and stock; 8 qts is enough for many, 20 qts is huge) and apparently good build quality.

>>Works well on induction cooktop.

>>Space between bottom of pasta insert and bottom of pot is a somewhat larger than I'd like (have to add a fair amount of water before the pasta inserts start being submerged), so it takes a little longer to heat up, but the added water volume adds thermal inertia and helps keep pasta water hot when you add a lot pasta. On an induction range water heats up fairly quickly, anyway, and if you're making a lot of pasta (the purpose of such a big pot), the extra water is not a big deal. I use a Kuhn Rikon 4th Burner Multipot instead for small amounts of pasta (also a good product).

>>Handles feel quite solid, but the lack of a good-sized rivet head on the inside of the pot is not reassuring. Haven't had any hint of problem yet, though.

>>Wish it had a...

Value
No, this is not an All Clad pot. Is an All Clad pot worth six times the price of this one? Only to a person in love with designer labels. The quality of it is similar to many famous brands. The bottom has a thick, flat plate. I use a glass top hob and the flatness of the surface is important. Handles are heavy and stand out well from the side. Plenty of room to handle the pot with pot holders. Several inches of space below the strainer basket makes use as a steamer a possibility.

Great
Works excellent with my induction unit. Very heavy duty. Easy cleanup! Very fine finish on the surface of the product.

Bialetti Aeternum 3-Pack Ceramic Saute Pan, Red

Incredible pans - love them!
I only received these pans a few days ago but so far I am ecstatic about them. Slide a silicone spatula around the inside to remove the food and they are so clean you barely know you cooked something in them. Also the handle and weight distribution make them extraordinarily comfortable to use. Don't know how they will stand the test of time but they can't be worse than teflon, and they don't come with a warning about possibly poisoning any canaries you might happen to keep your kitchen, as my last teflon set did. Just make sure you read the directions and follow them - they require basically the same care as teflon but don't outgas anything bad and the manufacturing process is billed as green. I have been wiping a very thin coat of olive oil over the non-stick surface before each use, rather than just periodically as the directions say. Conservatism? It's a very small amount of oil, and these are sauté pans where I usually use a bit of oil anyway. My regular pans...

Incredibly easy clean up, great non-stick interior
Slightly delicate interior -- treat gently, clean by hand. But super non-stick without Teflon, good looking porcelain exterior. Sides slope inward to bottoms, thus cooking surfaces are smaller than 8", 10", and 12". Exteriors can chip if banged around so we are very careful. But they are great to cook in. Always use a very small amount of oil and everything slides out when done. Wipe interior out gently, then wash w/ soapy sponge and it looks like new w/ very little effort. I do use a somewhat lower heat to avoid scorching. Very reasonably priced but have become our pans of choice.

Best Non-stick Skillets Ever
After rave comments from my grown daughter, I decided to invest in the 3 skillet set. I have cooked chicken breasts with Worcestershire sauce and the residue easily came off with water and a paper towel. Fried eggs using butter worked well. Have decided to hand wash skillets rather than put them into the dishwasher. They perform better than Calphalon and Circulon skillets.

Bodum Insulated Plastic Travel French Press Coffee and Tea Mug, 0.45-Liter, 15-Ounce, White

<3
Love the white color, its more of a creamy white in person. French press works great! Just make sure you dont use really fine ground coffee. Awesome product!

Great while it lasted
I have used this French Press Mug for about 8 months on a daily basis. It was a great mug for the money. I found adding cream and sugar through the mouth hole to be simple.

Unfortunately, I knew that this mug wouldn't support my caffeine addiction forever. When I would pour boiling water in it, I could hear the insulating inner wall expand: it made little cracking noises. At first I saw little bits of moisture in between the walls of the mug. Then more water came... Now it is always half-full (or empty, depending on your view) of murky brown water...IN BETWEEN the insulating wall of the mug. Not very appetizing! Worse, I can see the level of this trapped liquid fluctuate when I use it (until I find a better mug), meaning it is infusing my drink with that lovely concoction!

Unfortunately I have to rate this mug low, because I used it as directed and it failed. In fact there isn't much room for user error here, since boiling water is always the same temperature...

The BEST coffee mug around
This meet all of my requirements:
- double wall construction
- must fit car cup holder
- press for loose tea
- no spill lid (or nearly so - slowly drips through press knob)

This mug is great! I use one for coffee and one for tea. Handwashing is required, but not a problem since is doesn't seem to accumulate the films that one usually sees on coffee and tea mugs.

12 QT COMMERCIAL STAINLESS STEEL DOUBLE BOILER

Cheese maker pot
This double boiler works great for making cheese. A standard home made batch is two gallons of milk and this works perfect. Once you reach the correct temperatures it holds the temp for a long time due to the clad bottom. The stainless looks beautiful too. Appears to be very good quality material 18/8 ss with sturdy handles that don't bend when filled with 20+ pounds of liquid.

Double boiler
This is a fairly beautiful double boiler. I definitely recommend this product. The stainless steel is very heavy. Handles do not flex when lifting the pot. The clad bottom makes this double boiler fairly efficient. Even the lid is stainless steel, no plastic is used anywhere. I used this double boiler to make homemade cheese. I know I'll get many years of use from this double boiler.

Nice Quality, Good Value
I'm using this for cheese making and I'm quite happy with the quality. I used it last night for the first time and it did the job. I think it's a great value.

Corelle Coordinates Country Cottage 1.2-Quart Personal Teakettle

Good tea kettle, rust spots on lid
I like this tea kettle. It is a good size for boiling water to make about 3 cups of tea. And by cup, I mean the coffee-mug size, rather than the actual "cup measure".

Unfortunately, within 2 months of use, it developed 3 tiny rust spots on the lid. The rest of the kettle is fine. I am careful to not leave water sitting in the pot, so it is quite disappointing that there are rust spots.

Beautiful!

All-Clad Master Chef 2 2-Quart Saucepan with Lid

Amazing performance at a better price
If you are a serious cook who wants serious quality cookware, then All Clad is a great option. If you are not 100 percent familiar with All Clad, here is a brief description of what you can expect from them...All of their lines have a full aluminum core (which provides excellent heat retention and distribution) and stainless steel interiors (which offer an easy to use, non reactive cooking surface). It is the best of both worlds combined in one piece of cookware. The difference between the various lines of All Clad is simply the exterior surface...stainless steel (obviously their Stainless line), anodized aluminum (the LTD line), Copper (Copper Chef line), Stainless with an added layer of copper in the core (Copper Core), and brushed aluminum (the MC2 or "Master Chef 2" line). They are all, in my opinion, excellent cookware, but each one has its advantages and disadvantages. The advantages of the Master Chef 2 line, which this saucepan hails from are:

1)The brushed aluminum...

All-clad does it again!
I have about 7 All-Clad Master Chef2 pans and I love each one! This pan has been extremely useful in heating up sauces and small soups. It's my favorite pan to heat up a jar of pasta sauce. I highly recommend it!

All Clad 2-qt sauce pan
I am not as thrilled with the 2-qt sauce pan as with other sizes from All-Clad. I have the 1.5, 2 and 3-qt versions, and all are well made, beautiful to look at, and heat up and hold heat beautifully. My only gripe with the 2 qt model is that it is too small a diameter pot, just a taller version of the 1.5 qt. It would have more utility for me if it were the same diameter as the 3 quart. I have a Thermador gas range, and I have to set this pot on the small diameter burner, at a very low setting to keep the flame from curling around the edges. this is fine when I am boiling a small amount of liquid in the 1.5 pot, but with a larger volume of water it takes longer to heat.

I have a mixture of saucepans from the brushed-aluminum exterior MC2 line and the stainless exterior lines. I like them both. Perhaps the brushed aluminum bottoms may prove harder to keep clean than the somewhat more expensive stainless models, but so far I don't have any problems that way...

Tortilla Pan Set - Set of 4

Very Handy Little Things!!!
Great Little Chefs Helper... I Will Buy Again!!! These Are Nice and Look Like Well Constructed =) I Love It!!! The Only Thing Is That They Do Not Come With The Little Recipe Book =(

Tortilla Pans
I really haven't had a chance to use these yet because the temperatures have been in the high 90's or triple digits.

Just as good as I hoped
Pro: Molds out a perfect bowl.
Way easy to clean.
Four of them take up little space when stacked.

Con: Give me a moment, I'll think of something...... Nope!
Instructions are minimal, like none.

I recommend preheating them for a crispier dough, otherwise it gets crispy on the overhang part and not the part in contact with the mold. For me it worked best at 350 degree F. You have to watch it for doneness.I also coat my tortillas with a light spray of olive oil or canola for a nice browning.

Anolon Nouvelle Copper Hard Anodized Nonstick 10-Piece Cookware Set

Quality Cookware from Anolon
I can honestly say that my wife and I have never used cookware that is of higher quality than this Anolon Nouvelle 10-Piece Cookware Set. We received a set of Emeril Hard Anodized Nonstick Fry Pans(8" and 12") as a gift recently and though decent, the difference in quality is readily apparent. The handles are thin and heat up, and the pans are thinner and cook less evenly. Comparatively the Anolon Nouvelle cookware is thicker with layered bases for even heating and have the best handles I've ever had the pleasure to take a hold of. They are thick and easy to grip, and the ends stay cool even if the pan or skillet has been sitting on the heat for a while, eliminating the need to use pot-holders. Even the smaller stockpot handles remain cool enough to pick up the pot when cooking (i.e. spaghetti). The bases where the handles meet the pots do warm up a little though.

I've had this set for just under two...

The primary value is in the appearance and the comfortable handles
Summary: Overall, a solid set of pans. However, there are some trade-offs. I would recommend this set to someone who likes the appearance or the handle design. However, considering the price, I personally would choose to either save money on a set that is very close in quality, or spend a little more money to get an even nicer set. In balancing all the features (some two stars, some five) into one overall rating, I came up with three stars, "It's OK". The smaller cooking surface and the cost were the primary reasons why three stars instead of four or five.

Assumptions: When shopping for a set of pans, I would first make sure I need every pan in the set. Choosing individual pans (instead of a set) can save money and ensure you only buy the pans you truly need. For example, there is not a 12" skillet or 12" sauté pan in this set (which would add cost if you buy separately), and you may not use the included 10" skillet very often (which you still pay for as...

Owned Now for Nearly a Year
Anolon Nouvelle Copper Hard Anodized Nonstick 10-Piece Cookware Set

It would have been a full 5 stars if you could only use them in the broiler for finishing and use them in the dishwasher, but I live in a dream world!

The very first thing I'm going to say is to read the instructions that come with your cookware set very carefully since the manufacture is taking the easiest way out and has printed the directions that are for more than just the Anolon Nouvell Copper Anodized set. It can be quite confusing if you don't have the directions/instructions right in front of you. The manufacturer notes that the copper-bottomed set needs special care before using the first time. Also, this particular set cannot go in the dishwasher.
The second thing I'm going to say is to take their reprimand about dry boiling quite seriously. I haven't done so in the past, but after reading the warning I'm a bit petrified that I may somehow do so in the future and that would be very...

Staub 1 Quart Round Teapot, Basil

Beauty over function
This teapot was at the top of my wishlist last Christmas (except in the color "le bleu"), and I was thrilled to find it under the tree! It is, by far, the most beautiful and interesting teapot I've ever seen and it dresses up my stove and kitchen even more than I had imagined. It is always one of the first things admired when someone new walks into my kitchen. It has an almost asian aesthetic which I find incredibly unique, and I love the way the handles fold down to allow you to remove the whole top. Not only is it sooooooo cool, but it's also nice to be able to get at the inside of the teapot to clean it. All the other ones I've owned had a very small top which made it difficult to clean off those hard water spots! But while this is the most beautiful and unique teapot, it is certainly not the most practical and it falls a little short in the function department. My complaints with it are the following:

1)Its terribly small girth: I have a professional Thermador rangetop...

Beautiful, BUT Flawed
No doubt staub makes a beautiful pot. The problem is poor design. Why? The metal-chrome-plated handles are attached to the pot in a way in which the handles form a loop around a peg on the pot. As part of the pot, this peg is ceramic coated cast-iron. As the metal handle opens and closes, the chrome metal rotates on the ceramic painted pot. You don't need to be an engineer to figure-out that chrome-metal rotating on ceramic paint is clearly an area of high-wear which will rust-out in the long run. Mine started to wear with only 3 openings of the handle. Hope they fix this design. This pot gets five stars for aesthetics, one star for functional durability for the reasons just noted.

Utterly the best teapot you could own
This is not only the most beautiful teapot I have ever used but the most useful. Being cast iron core with a luscious eggplant deep purple hue it heats fast and the water stays hot longer. The handles drop down to allow the cover to be removed, Talk about a piece of Zen art.

It looks beautiful on ones stove, or table and literally everyone who has come into the kitchen and has seen it on the stove has remarked what a beautiful teapot I have, and then inquired where they could obtain one. Nice thing is they come in a colour to suit just about any decor.

And because it is so hefty and well made it will probably become an heirloom in many families like French made Le Creuset and Emile Henry which in my family gets handed down generation after generation and is sought after as a gift or requested in a will.

This makes a great gift for a male or a female, for a birthday, wedding shower, mothers or fathers day, graduation or just to say thank you. Yes, the price is a tad...

Fox Run 10-Quart Stainless Steel Oval Roaster Set

Beautiful Medium Sized Roaster
This is a gorgeous roaster with its highly polished finish, solid handles, high dome and two little open/close vents on top. I haven't used it yet (UPDATE: Dec 2010; we've used it several times now and still love it) but I think it could handle the stovetop as well as the oven, although I wouldn't set the burner much above medium since it's got an indented pattern on the bottom and it's not super thick.

Three generations of women in my family have used Revere Ware stainless steel pots and pans, so if anyone is familiar with them, I can best compare the thickness of this Fox Run stainless roaster by saying it's not quite as thick, especially on the bottom since it lacks the copper layer, but it's far from flimsy.

Size wise, it can take a good sized turkey or two chickens. Its inside height with the lid on is 7". Without the lid, the inside measures 4 5/8" high. The rack, if you choose to use it, is very low, so you've still got more than 6.5" of vertical...

Poor quality
The handles on this pan are so poorly attached that one broke off during shipping and you can barely tell where it was once affixed to the side (no rivets, nothing holding the handle solidly in place). The whole thing is very lightweight and flimsy feeling. The packaging looks unprofessional, with a pixelated image on a thin cardboard box- like a cheap import or knockoff. I am returning it (obviously, since it was broken).

LOVE IT
I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR A ROASTER PAN THIS SIZE FOR AWHILE NOW. I WAS OVER JOYED TO SEE THIS ONE ON LINE.

T-fal A113SC84 Family Cooking Nonstick Interior and Experior Oven Safe Dishwasher Safe 12-Piece Cookware Set, Black

Great Set - TFal lasts
This is an awesome and functional set for a family, and my last set (identical to this one except for the lids) has lasted more than 8 years.

I recently picked up a few new T-fal pieces and really like the new glass lids that are included with this one. Maybe I'm a nosy cook, but being able to see inside is a huge advantage.

The pans are are practical sizes, and the set gives you almost everything you need for a kitchen. The one pan this set is missing is a Saute or Chicken pan, but those are hard to find - I had to buy mine separately. However, until I found one (T-fal, of course), I used the deeper pot.

The key to using T-fal is to make sure you never heat it on anything other than a medium flame. A higher temperature will cause the T-fal to burn and you will slowly erode its ability to be nonstick. Also, if you use a dishwasher, you will need to season it again after using it a few times. The dishwashing soap will also cause your exterior to lose...

Using every day
I got these as a gift for myself and I am really enjoying them. I've only had them for a month, but I use them every day for everything from making crepes and pancakes to stew and steaming broccoli. They do fine in the dishwasher. And heat up nicely on the stove (haven't tried them in the oven). I am quite enjoying this set.

Value for money
Have been using for over last 6 months.Cleaning is easy, not sure if it dishwasher safe It is durable and excellent value at this price.

Ecolution Evolve Fry Pan, 11-Inch, Blue

Good Pan!
So I was a bit hesitant buying something with zero reviews on Amazon but I'm glad I took the chance and did. All in all this pan has done exactly what it was supposed to. I just made some eggs in it this morning and they peeled off beautifully without a single spot sticking. Make sure to oil it up right when you get it as the instructions suggest. I can't comment for the durability as I've only had it about a week now, but so far so good (I'll update this if it goes to pieces in the near future). I will say, color wise, the blue is really dark and basically looks black so the color aspect isn't as fun as I had hoped for. But if you're in the market for a Teflon-free non stick skillet give this a shot.

ANCHOR HOCKING 12 Oz Oven Basics Casserole With Cover Sold in packs of 3

Perfect size for individual portions!
I have used these 12 oz Anchor Hocking casseroles for several years and had thought they were no longer to be found. I use them for oatmeal, baked apples, veggies, about everything that I serve in an individual portion that can be cooked in the microwave. Unlike the plastic lids that are now so common the glass lids hold in the heat without deforming, so I have faster cooking times and a longer useful life for the dish.
Especially as - uh - 'older' people we are concerned with portion size but have become accustomed to good stuff. These tiny cooking dishes help make preparation of and serving small portions fun, fast, and attractive.

Anchor Hocking 12 oz Casserole with cover
We have been using these small casserole dishes almost daily for many years. Although very tough, being glass, our first set finally wore out. After a long internet search, I was delighted to find them on Amazon. Thank you⁄

Big City BS011106 Slider Station for Mini Hamburgers

lanikaiomom
I was excited to use this product when I got it. The recipies worked well and were tasty. I would use the recipes again with another press or when making burgers by hand. I saved the recipe guide. The problem was that I also experienced a silver residue on the burgers after a few uses that made me concerned. I have also thrown it out because of concerns over this unknown residue that definately did not seem like anything healthy.

Big City Slider Station Review - Cooking With Jack Show

good burgers and egg sandwiches
So the first time I ever used it, it made delicious and juicy burgers. They were wonderful. Then I made egg sandwiches, i was also very pleased. I made burgers again, and the pan was doing fine, and the burgers were still yummy. But cleanup is NOT a breeze. The material the product is made out of stinks! You have to wipe for a while. I have heard complaints about the silver paint coming off, I haven't experienced this yet, but I'm looking out for it.

PAN Grill-it

Amazing!!
The PAN Grill-it is an amazing product. Grilling has never been more simple, versatile, or delicious. We've used the PAN Grill-it at home for breakfast (french toast), lunch (panini's), and dinner (hamburgers, steaks, fish, chicken, kabobs etc..) and have gotten excellent results each time. Tailgating is now easier than ever since we don't have to lug our grill around and clean up is a breeze. The biggest plus for our family is that it's chemical free, providing a much healthier alternative. We'll be using PAN Grill-it for years and years to come.

Cool idea. works pretty well.
After finding out I couldnt use my mini charcoal grill on my apartment balcony, I needed to find a way to grill inside.

I was cooking on my Lodge cast iron pan, and while looking for another cast iron grill pan, i stumbled across this.
It works pretty good, but is a tad hard to clean, and takes a while to heat up.

The seller threw in a free handle mitt and scrubber, which was very nice of them.

Finally! Non-Toxic Healthy Cookware Made in the USA
My family and I really enjoy grilling with this product. The pictures do no justice as to how high-tech this product and design really is. I know what I'm getting my friends and family for Christmas this year. Cast Iron Cookware made in the USA. Congratualations on a wonderful new cooking idea and product.

Lodge Logic Cast Iron Skillet with Glass Lid

My workhorse pan
I absolutely love this pan. Sure, it's a tad heavy and sometimes it's difficult to maneuver, but you can do most anything in it - especially since it's oven-safe.

GREAT SKILLET!
I RECENTLY NEEDED A LARGER CAST IRON SKILLET WITH A LID, AFTER I BOUGHT A LODGE DUTCH OVEN WITH ENAMEL COATING WHICH I LOVE, I STARTED TO LOOK FOR A SKILLET. I LOOKED IT UP AND THERE WAS THE SKILLET THAT FIT MY NEEDS. IT WAS AT A GREAT PRICE SO I PURCHASED IT AND IN THREE DAYS IT WAS HERE. I LOVE COOKING WITH CAST IRON AND THIS WAS PRE-SEASONED SO I DIDN'T HAVE TO DO THAT. I HAVE BEEN USING IT REGULARLY FOR ABOUT 3 WEEKS AND LOVE IT. NOTHING STICKS TO IT AND CLEAN UP IS VERY EASY. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND "LODGE" CAST IRON. HIGH QUALITY PRODUCTS. ANYTIME I WANT ANY CAST IRON PRODUCT I LOOK FOR THIS BRAND.

awsome
I'm very glad I purchase this skillet and so is my boyfriend he uses it more than me! Its easy to clean and I like that it goes in the oven..

Scanpan CTX 10-Piece Deluxe Set

Excellent
Hard to imagine spending this kind of coin for pans, but here we go. I'd gotten a 2qt saucepan to try out and it's so good that I'm back for the whole set. This is the non-stickiest non-stick ever, just a real pleasure to cook with and then clean up. The 2qt is now three years old and the interior finish looks like new. The outside underneath has a little discoloration but our stove is gas so I can't complain -- pans are for cooking, not admiring.

awesome
After getting my new Electrolux induction stove I have tried and returned Elo, Calphalon, Cuisinart. In all cases the model set I chose was the most top of that lines "Induction Ready" offerings. In every case the stainless steel must have been paper thin because it took between three and four full minutes to boil my "Standard" two cups of cold water. That is actually longer than my previous Jenn Air stove took so they were all returned.

When these CTX Pans arrived the first thing I did was run the two cup boil test. I was astonished to see a full rolling boil in one minute flat. Then I cooked something saucy. Within four minutes on the five setting the pan was showing little simmer bubbles spread so evenly over the entire pan.

I have now used these pans for a week. They are every bit as incredible as my new induction stove. My only disappointment is that the two saucepans are only 3/4 quart apart. One should be much smaller and the other much larger IMO.

Expensive but worth every penny
These pans are awesome! I got a Scanpan saute pan for Christmas and was so impressed I bought the whole set. They are expensive but in my opinion worth every penny. The pans truly are non-stick and they really work great. The surface won't scrape off like other non-stick pans because it's a solid thick lining. The stainless surface on the outside is easy to keep clean with a stainless steel scrub pad. The set comes with plenty of lids and I like that you can see through the glass. The two sauce pans are good sized and nice and deep. Overall, I could not be more happy with this purchase.

All-Clad Stainless Petite Braiser Pan

All-Clad Petite Braiser Pan
It won't take a thousand words to say that this is truly the finest pan I own! If I had to choose just one pan from my kitchen, this would be it. It works for everything. I fry, bake, saute and serve from this one good-looking pan. Clean up is really, really easy. I have washed it in the dishwasher, but do prefer to hand clean. Itis certainly worthy of "hands-on" care. Beautiful, serviceable and a must for a caring cook.

Elegant and functional
In a small household, this has turned out to be the most-used pan. It is not only everything that everyone knows about All-Clad in terms of high quality and functionality, but it is astonishly beautiful as well.

Perfect Dinner
I used this for the first time this week. I wanted something rustic, so I decided to braise turkey thighs with some root vegetables. Preparing the dinner was almost as good as the finished product.

Because of All-Clad's technology, I didn't have to turn the range above medium to sear. There was ample space for browing both turkey parts. Adding color to the veggies was a quick process. Deglazing was very easy because the bottom was so roomy.

From the oven came evenly done, tender and juicy turkey thighs. Clean up was easy. Wiped it out and put it in the dishwasher. Didn't even need to use any polish.

My next task for this pan is a frittata.

Emeril by All-Clad E8844564 Restaurant Chef's 5-Quart Stainless Steel Dutch Oven Cookware, Silver

Good quality, lid doesn't fit well
I got this exact pot elsewhere, but since everybody reads Amazon reviews, decided to enter mine here. It's a satisfactory quality pot, it cleans well, too. The only problem is that the lid doesn't fit tight enough - it is loose and there is a gap all around, so it makes it more difficult to strain (I lost some of spaghetti), and it takes longer to bring pot to a boil. Also, lid handle gets very hot.

ExcelSteel 10 Inch super lightweight cast iron frypan

Cast Iron -- best non-stick around
I waited for several months to write this review since the primary use for this frypan was to prepare omelets, and since I use the "slide it out and fold with the lip of the pan" technique, it has to truly be non-stick. My first act was to put it through my own seasoning process, well actually the seasoning process of the Wok Shop in San Francisco. I am happy to report that it works and works well. More than I can say for our super expensive Calphalon infused utensils. Season it before use, wash only with water and a scrubber of your choice, and heat and re-oil after every use. It's light weight, heats rapidly and is truly non-stick. Oh, and yes, the handle does get hot -- use a towel or hot pad for crying out loud.

No cast iron substitute
This is not a cast iron pan, in the sense of the old seasoned pans your mother had.
I like how light it is. But.......
It does not distribute the heat evenly.
And everything sticks to the ridges on the inside.
The way it was ground down on the inside left spiral ridges.
I have cooked and seasoned, cooked and seasoned.
I own regular cast iron pans.
I will be going back to them.
Don't be fooled, get the real thing.

Regular Cast iron forever!

No regrets this purchase
This product fulfilled all my requirements for an omelette pan: Cast-iron, light weight, cooking surface not pre-coated with "nonstick" material, 10-inch dia. size, rounded bottom-side--perfect for two- or three-egg omelettes. Had some reservations about thin body and riveted handle until I saw how sturdily it was made. At this point pan is still new, but performing to all expectations, aging nicely and improving with every use. Overall, an excellent pan that won't break your wallet, and a welcome addition to my cast-iron collection.

All-Clad 2 Quart Saute Pan Casserole

Wife Loves It!!!
My wife is a snob when it comes to cookware. We have 8 All-Clad pots & pans hanging from our pot hanger and she won't use anything other than All-Clad or Le Creuset brand cookware. I get her a new All-Clad pot each year to add to her collection. She loves this one and uses it mainly to cook side dishes.

This line of cookware is extremely robust and, if you invest in them, there is a good possibility that you will never need to buy a replacement for them.

Tramontina Prima 5 Quart 18/10 Stainless Steel Tri-Ply Base Covered Dutch Oven

A thoroughly high quality dutch oven.
The Tramontina Prima 5 Quart 18/10 Stainless Steel Tri-Ply Base Covered Dutch Oven is very high quality. It has a thick bottom that prevents the burning/baking so common in other thinner pans. It is also easy to clean.

Note: The top is steel even though it appears to be glass in the illustration. A steel top is less likely to break, and we prefer the steel top.

great pan
I love this pan and how it works, I love that its heavy enough without being too heavy for us people with problems. its a great size, browns beautifully and tramontina was an excellent company to deal with. I had the wrong pan the first time around and they helped me find the right one. Returned the first one without a problem too.

What a great pot!
Love this pot, use it almost daily. It's great as a dutch oven but is great for almost everything I cook.
I recommend this highly. Excellent quality.

Wusthof Classic Ikon 8-Inch Bread Knife, Black

great quality, great price
This line of Wusthof knives is very well made, easy to handle and nice looking. I can't afford the entire line at once and have been adding knives as finances allow. Amazon has fantastic prices on these knives.

This knife is sharp!
I purchased this during one of Amazon's lightning deals for a Christmas gift, and we've been pleasantly surprised with how well it actually works. A definite word of caution: the knife is really sharp! Just a slight accidental touch of the sharp blade caused a razor thin "paper-cut" that was just deep enough to bleed. However, when we use it on freshly baked bread with a crispy crust on the outside and soft & light on the inside -- it sliced it up wonderfully!

Our old knives would compress freshly baked bread down to less than 1/4th of the original height before finally cutting through. Thankfully, this knife allowed the bread to keep its original size and cut through the crispy crust without squishing all of the soft delicate bread inside. On the loaves that were "extra crispy" on the outside, I just needed to be patient and let the serrated blade do its job cutting back & forth a little extra until it made it through the crust.

I hope that...

You want sharp?
Use caution, this is not your mothers bread knife. Excellent balance and craftsmanship. Now let's see more special deals on the Ikon knives. I'm spoiled.

Kitchen World Nonstick Marble Coated Pans (Set of 4)

Non stick
They work really well. I am French and make my crepes on it. I put some oil only every 5 crepes, it's amazing.

BEST PANS I EVER OWNED!!
We've thrown out all the teflon because these pans are awesome! They truly are non-stick, and if for some reason there is something leftover in the pan, it literally washes out with just water...you don't even need to use a sponge! Warning, these pans get hot and hold the heat, so cook on lower heat than you normally would. If you are one of those people who cooks everything on high, you will be very disappointed, as your food will be very well done in no time at all. Yes, I am re-learning to cook everything on medium heat. Also, because the pans hold their heat, they continue to cook even after you turn off the stove, so be careful if you are cooking something delicate like eggs to remove them from the pan as soon as they are done or they will be rubbery. I use a few drops of oil for moisture in my food, but it is not necessary. Once you use these pans, there is no going back. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these pans. They are also nice to look at on my pot rack...no more ugly stains on...

Great pans, truly NONSTICK!
The quality of these pans is excellent, far surpassed my expectations. Thick-walled, comfortable handles...
and best of all, really, honestly non-stick. When they arrived, I decided to give them the true test-rinsed one of the pans, dried it, put it on the gas stove and fried an egg in it-NO oil at all-and the egg slid
out when it was done. Have used them every day since I got them, my old pans went straight to a charity drop box. Cleanup is a snap. Couldn't be happier with this purchase, hoping they hold up as well as I think they will.

Calypso Basics 3-Piece Microwave Steamer Set, Turquoise

Good but 1 main problem
the plastic piece in the middle is useless and falls out when you wash it or even when you open the lid and flip it upside down. good quality plastic (pretty thick) and holds a lot. my work horse.

Very cool colors but not steamers
These little bowls (with lids) are very cool as far as the colors go and they stack well, but i would not consider them steamers as there are no inserts for the veggies to rest on and over the water. Your vegetables will sit in the water and there will be steam if you heath them up, but again, I would not describe them as a steamer set.

Staub 7 Quart Oval Cocotte, Black

Poor Quality
I have been waiting to buy a Staub Cocotte for quite some time. I have read very positive reviews, however that was not my experience.

My Staub Cocotte arrived and I unpacked it and took into my kitchen to be cleaned and seasoned. Thats when I noticed that the lid did not seem to fit properly. It would literally rock from end to end. This poor fitting left a noticeable gap at either end. Such a gap would let to much moisture escape and make the pot useless for braising. So I notified Amazon I wanted a replacement.

My replacement arrived in 5 days. I unpacked my replacement and carried it into my kitchen to be cleaned and seasoned. Upon first inspection I checked to make sure that the lid fit properly. However, thats when I noticed a large crack on the end of the pot that ran from the lip all the way to the bottom. I notified Amazon that I wanted a refund.

At this point I'm not ordering this pot from Amazon again. It appears that either they got a bad...

I'd do it again
I received my Staub Cocotte on Wednesday, a work day, and couldn't wait until my next day off. The first thing that I did was go the the Chinese market and purchase a suitable chicken for braising. I find the Chinese market excellent for fresh, older chickens that are flavorful and suitable for soup and braising. Anyway I prepped my new pot, dropped my chicken in with some vegetables and stuck it in the oven at 300 degrees. Four hours later I had this flavorful, slightly chewy, moist chicken for dinner. The leftovers were excellent in the chicken pot pie the next day. My wife is anxious to try it out for sauerkraut. Yes, it's an expensive pot but I'd do it again...

A fantastic piece of equipment
I am thoroughly enjoying my Staub cocottes. I also purchased the 2 1/2 quart round. I've made about 1/3 of the recipes from "Glorious One-Pot Meals" now, and have also been using it for braises and stews. It's so well-made that it's almost a work of art.

KitchenAid Gourmet Stainless Steel 12-Piece Cookware Set

Be careful
I have never written a review before. However, after the glass lid of this Kitchen Aid Gourment stainless Steel 12-piece set exploded in our kitchen. I felt it was important for the safety of those who also have this set. I have had pans with glass lids before and never experienced anything like this. However this tight seal had created a vacuum seal is what the customer service department told me. The liability department said to read the instructions and to never put a lid on a pot after you take it off the burner without prying it open first. When we used it to cook some meat, and took it off the burner to wait for the other items, it was then that it vacuumed sealed on. I tried to get it off and so did my husband, in the mean time I went to the KitchenAid website and it had nothing on the site regarding what to do. In the meantime, the lid exploded and there was glass embedded in the surface of the cupboards and in the microwave vent as well as everywhere else. The only reason...

Great Buy
I've had the same QVC pots and pans my mom bought me for the last 7 years or so, wow was I missing out. I did extensive research, reading product reviews and weighing my options for a nice set of pots and pans and these were everything I'd hoped they'd be. They hold the heat incredibly well, very sturdy, the glass covers are awesome, I can and have washed them in the dishwasher repeatedly (according to the kitchenaid website this is fine), the handles stay nice and cool on the ends, but don't grab too close to the pan because it does abruptly become very hot. Great set for the price in my opinion. Kitchenaid has not let me down yet.

It's stuck!
We registered for this set as a wedding gift based on the reviews here. Obviously, I'm in disagreement with the other reviewers on the quality. The pots and pans look nice out of the box and you can keep them that way if you towel dry and don't scorch. But I quickly noticed that the small saucepan is a bit tipsy. If it's empty and not on a totally flat surface the handle is too heavy and it will tip over. This is annoying with the grates on my stove.

Next I noticed that the lids don't have steam vents. So I'm constantly cleaning water spills off the range from when things boil the lid off.

Worst of all, I was using the large skillet and lid to steam some veggies. When I got ready to serve I couldn't get the lid off. We tried heating the pan up again, we tried cooling it off, we tried prying it off, we tried letting it sit overnight. Nada. I still have a skillet and lid sealed together with my veggies inside. Not good. I'm glad I kept one of my old Teflon skillets...

Nordic Ware Pro Cast 1-1/2-Quart Sauce Pan with Lid

Great kitchen accessory!
Though a small sauce pan is not something I need for every meal, it comes in handy on many occasions. The cast aluminum build feels very strong, and able to take a beating, which is good because I find myself using it inside and out between my stove and grill. This works great for simmering marinades from meat into sauces, and due to its compact size and strength, it can find a place to sit no matter how crowded my workspace is. For simmering sauces, making small quantities of soup, pasta, other boiled foods, or reheating on the stove-top, this pan is a must.

Always the best!
You just can't beat Nordic Ware for quality and workmanship. I'm not cooking for a family so have no need of a larger sauce pan, although I plan to get the 2 1/2 quart in the near future. I suppose this pan would do well for sauces if I did such things but it's perfect for a can of veggies or soup. I'm replacing every piece of cooking/baking equipment I have with Nordic Ware plus adding pieces of their wonderful Bundt pans. I may not make the best tasting cake in the world, but it sure looks pretty! Every order has been well packaged and delivered quickly. I can't see myself buying anything but Nordic Ware. If they don't manufacture it, I don't need it.

Graniteware 0808-1 Heritage Collection by Granite Ware 4-Quart Stockpot with Steamer Insert

CANNOT BE USED ON A GLASS TOP STOVE
I looked all over to find a small pasta pot as there are only 2 of us in this household. I was excited when I saw this because it was exactly what I was looking for. The stockpot and insert arrived in perfect condition. I unpacked it and started dinner. Only then did I pull the information out to read it. Thank goodness I did this time because it states that Graniteware cannot be used on a glass top stove and I have a glass top stove. The company cannot guarantee the bottom of the pot will be completely flat. When the bottom of a pot is not completely flat, heat builds up in the small pockets and could make the glass top break. So, I will be returning this stockpot with pasta insert and will continue my search. This pot is perfect for a small household; so much easier than dragging out a large pot when cooking for 2. Just be sure to use it on a gas or regular coiled electric stove.
