Cuisinart CTK-15CLS Classic Stainless 1-1/2-Quart Teakettle

A $70 Retail Teapot? Don't think so.
I bought this because it looked like a bargain at $25, with a claimed retail value of $70. I would never have paid $70 for it if I had seen it in a retail store. No way is it worth that much. For $25, not too bad, though. Just not the bargain it seemed to be. It does have a nice pleasant whistle, and is good enough. Still, I was expecting a much higher-quaiity and heavier build, so that was a bit of a disappointment.

Love this Teakettle!
Honestly I had been wondering how good this teakettle could be compared to its much cheaper in-store competitors... Well, I was pleasantly surprised. It is simplistic, elegant, and feels as though it was really designed with the consumer in mind. The handle is significantly higher than most, allowing for easier filling, pouring, and staying cool. Also, to my surprise, the traditional teakettle whistle has been replaced by a far less annoying train-like whistle sound. I would purchase this again without a second thought.

Is what it is
It's not a heavy duty teakettle, but it gets the job done.

Its supposed to be a whistle kettle, but mine doesn't whistle.

Also, the handle gets a tiny bit hot, that little rim of metal that trims the handle. But, its not a huge deal.

I would image this kettle would last about 2 years with everyday use.
