Very useful product!
I was a bit hesitant about this due to the mixed reviews, but decided to give it a try. I have made chocolate covered strawberries and chocolate covered pretzels many times. After dealing with double boilers and microwaving chocolate, this is such a pleasant change! Just set it up and put in the chocolate about 25 minutes before you want to start dipping. After it's warmed up, it will melt additional added chocolate very quickly, so won't slow you down. My daughter and I made a huge tray of gourmet chocolate covered pretzels with all kinds of toppings for the teacher's lounge at school and they looked amazing, like something purchased in a candy shop. As far as the melting cups, the handles are indeed a little flimsy, but not enough that it bothers me and it will work just fine if they break off. As far as the reviewers that complained that items fell off into the pot, that's more of a "user error." I find this perfect for our needs!
Not quite impressed.
I was expecting a fondue pot. This was merely 2 cheap metal cups in a cheap warmer. Not impressed.
cheaply made
Well I got it and tried it out before a baby shower so make sure it worked. Pots are very cheaply made, handles bent very easy, and made out of cheap thin metal (tin?) came with several chocolate molds and one large heart mold. I make cake pops and dipped in the pop in and almost always it fell in and had to be dug out. No fondue forks inside. pots got hot pretty quickly, although I felt like I kept waiting even on high. Ok product, next time I will research it more first.
